  Something for Everyone ...
There is so much to see and do in Orlando that planning ahead is the key to making sure you see all you want to see. It can be a little bewildering and daunting, especially to those who have never been before, to try and decide what to do and where to go. Absorb as much information as you can before you go and take the time to plan exactly what it is you want to do - the internet is a powerful tool to help you do this.
There are numerous ticket options available so decide in advance exactly what type of ticket would best suit your needs and buy your ticket before you get to the parks. The queues can be quite long at the entrances and advance tickets will help to avoid this. Depending upon how much you want to do, multi-day tickets are normally the better option.
If you are visiting in the summer months, prepare yourself for high temperatures and high humidity which can be exhausting, especially for the little ones. Remember it is high season and can be very busy - so just make sure you stay relaxed and patient while in the parks, drink plenty of water and avoid tea, coffee and alcohol. Some of the food can work out expensive in the parks so it is well worth considering topping up on a breakfast buffet before before you go and just have a snack at lunch time.
Make sure you arrive early to make the most of the day and head for the main rides first - the queues for these can be very long in the afternoons. Make sure you get a park map when you enter and take a few minutes to study the layout and check the times of any shows or features you want to see - some are only shown a few times a day so plan your day around them to make sure you see all you want to see. Depending on how busy it is, it could help to start at the back and work forward - the opposite to the crowds. Also, if there are two queues, head for the left - people tend to automatically go for the right.
Make use of any fast-passes the main rides offer at Disney - they are free to use and dramatically cut down your queuing time. Simply go to the FastPass machines located outside all the major rides, as soon as you arrive, and it will give you a pass with a time to come back later in the day. You can then go off and do other things returning a few minutes before your time. Make sure everyone in your group has their own ticket - FastPass tickets only admit one person per ticket, not per group, and you can't get another FastPast ticket for another ride until you time is up on the previous FastPass.
Always make a note of where your car is parked. There is row upon row and thousands of spaces and it's far too easy to forget where you parked when you go back to the car park hours later. As a help, most of the parks name their parking rows after characters to make it more memorable.
