The heart and soul of Disney, this magical story book fantasy is set in 100 acres with over 40 attractions, shops and restaurants surrounding Cinderella's Castle. There are several themed sections to explore, so start your day early. There are rides such as Space Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean and numerous shows and character meetings throughout the day. There's enough to keep all ages happy but is aimed more towards the younger ones (and the young at heart!). It shold be on the list of everyone who has never been. If it's your first time, make sure you take the ferry instead of the monorail - it's a magical way to experience your first glimpse of the Magic Kingdom. You really need a full day to be able to do it all and take it all in.

Educational, entertaining, informative and illuminating - Epcot has it all. Epcot is split into two major features. There's the World Showcase represented by different nations of the world where you can sample different foods and experience the cultures of each nation. Then there's Future World - with the speeding test track, Innovations, Space & Sea to name a few of the features within. Make sure you hang around for the spectacular Illuminations fireworks display at the end of the evening. Fascinating for every age and would take two days to do it all properly at a leisurely pace, but you could do it all in one day if you don't hang around too much.

Formerly known as Disney MGM, this is Hollywood in Florida. Movie classics, rides and stars. See how films are made and learn the tricks of the trade. The Indiana Jones stunt spectacular would exhaust even Harrison Ford and don't miss Jim Hensons Muppet Vision 3D. One of the best rides in Disney is here - the Tower of Terror, it's a scream, but don't eat before you go on it! Aerosmith's Rock n Roller Coaster is a blast. The Beauty and the Beast stage show is beautifully colourful, as is the Voyage of the Little Mermaid.
Fantasmic at the end of the day is a wonderful music, firework and special effects extravaganza - a great way to end the day. You can do everything here in a day.

The Animal Kingdom is an Africa Asia experience with an environmentally aware flare. There are rides and some great educational features for children of all ages. The 'Tree of Life' is a must-see underneath which is 'It's Tough to be a Bug', a comedy absolutely not to be missed, starring Hopper, Flik and a colossal cast of creepy crawlies. However, it could be a little too scary for tiny ones. The Dinosaur ride is great for all the family as is the fabulous musical 'The Lion King'. The Everest Expedition rollercoaster is well worth the often long wait so do make use of the FastPass. Take a wet trip down the 'Kali River Rapids' or swing to the 'Tarzan Rocks' concert. A great day for all ages. Arrive early and you should be able to do it all in one day but this park closes ealier than any of the others.

The star of SeaWorld is Shamu the killer whale and the Believe show and Shamu Rocks are great shows, as is the Blue Horizons dolphin and whale show so don't miss them. The Clyde and Seamore show is also another must see. SeaWorld is a great day for all ages - youngsters appreciate the educational aspect and the older ones love the selection of rides and attractions. The Kraken is a major league thrill ride and prepare for a soaking on Journey to Atlantis. Lots of great rides and plenty to see for all ages - if you get there early you can do it all in a day but there are usually offers on for a second day for free so if your vacation allows, take your time and go twice.

The rides and adventures are too numerous to mention but favourites include Revenge of the Mummy, Earthquake, Terminator 2 3D, Shrek 4D and good old Jaws. Plenty of fun watching special effect shows and take a look behind the scenes and see how a tv show is made. A great fun day out for all ages. Get there fairly early and you can do this park in a day. Enough for children and great for teenagers and adults.

Separated from Universal Studios by the entertainment complex CityWalk, there's plenty of fun in Toon Lagoon, educational programmes in Jurassic Park and Seuss Landing for the children features the Cat in the Hat. Don't miss Spiderman - a roving 3D ride, and for the thrill seekers the Dueling Dragons roller coaster is one of the best around and well worth an extra wait in the queue for the front row. The Hulk roller coaster is good too. A great day for all ages, plenty for the younger ones and ideal for teenagers. All can be done in a day.

Just a 90 minute drive from the house is Tampa, host to Busch Gardens, a safari in Africa with thrill rides to boot. The Transveld Railroad takes you through the animals in their natural habitat and the thrill rides hit loops at up to 60 miles per hour. For the ultimate thrill seeker, SheiKra is an absolute must - one of only three 'dive coasters' in the world, Florida's highest rollercoaster stands at 200ft high and has two 90 degree drops that can be pretty scary when you're dangling above the crowds far below! Good to watch too. Montu isn't too far behind on the thrill factor scale and is one of the longest and tallest roller coaster rides in the world. Put this theme park at the top of your list. It's an hour's drive from the house so set off early to make the most of the day.
