 How do we get directions?Full driving directions and general information will be sent to you in our arrival pack well before your departure date. How far are we from the airport? Orlando Airport is 25 miles/30 minutes drive and Sanford Airport is 50 miles/1 hours drive. Both are a very easy drive and the directions are simple to follow. How do we get the key when we arrive? Our home has a keyless lock system so all you need is an entry code, which will be sent to you in the arrival pack. Is smoking allowed? Sorry, no. For the comfort of all our guests our home is strictly no smoking throughout. However, it is ok to smoke in the pool area. Are Pets allowed? No sorry, for the comfort of all our guests no pets are allowed. We can recommend a very good local kennel. Is there an alarm? Yes, the house is fully alarmed for security, fire and carbon monoxide. How do we book? Making a reservation is very easy. First check we have availability for your chosen dates then contact us via email, call us or complete the booking form to reserve the dates. We will then put a hold on the dates for 5 days to give you time to arrange the deposit. That's it. Simple! Do you accept payment by Credit Card? Yes, you can pay be credit card, Paypal, check/cheque, wire transfer, cashiers check or at any branch of Bank of America if you have one locally. There are no added charges for any payment method. What happens if we have a problem? We have a wonderful management company who are based locally on call for you 24 hours a day for any problems that may arise. We are also just a phone call or email away and you can call us anytime at all, 24 hours a day. Where is the nearest grocery store? The nearest store is in the Formosa Shopping Village less than a mile away. Just a mile further is a Publix and SuperTarget and there is a 24 hour Walmart Supercenter about 5 miles away. Full directions are in the Guest Information book in the house. Are there any restaurants close by ? Formosa Shopping Village is a two minute drive from the house and has several restaurants including The Outback Steakhouse, Red Lobster, Wild Wings, TGI Friday's, Cracker Barrel, Carabbas Italian Grill and Giordanos Pizza. The US-192 Highway just a minute further has a huge selection of restaurants including Olive Garden, Applebees, Longhorne Steakhouse and Ponderosa to name just a few. The choice is endless! What do we need to bring? We provide all bed linens and towels for the bathrooms and the pool and there is a hairdryer in each bathroom and hair straighteners in the two master suites. You are welcome to take the pool towels to the beach. Is anything supplied for us? Yes, we provide a complimentary grocery basket which includes items such as coffee, milk, sugar, juice, bread, butter, water, chips, cookies and candy. Are there any cleaning supplies? A starter pack is provided which includes trash bags, kitchen roll and liquid dish soap in the kitchen and toilet roll, shampoo, conditioner and soap in each bathroom. Once these supplies are used, it is your responsibility to provide anything else you need. What about cleaning? The house is fully cleaned and prepared ready for your arrival and, once you have checked out, the house is cleaned. A daily maid service or mid stay clean can be arranged for you. What about electrical items? Most modern electrical appliances will work on dual voltage, but for UK guests America voltage is only 110 volts - less than half of the UK so some things will work much slower. What is the security deposit for? You are responsible for any breakages or damage during your stay and the security deposit covers us for this. It also covers excess cleaning if necessary. Is the house air conditioned? The house has full air conditioning throughout and each room has a ceiling fan. The air conditioning is pre-set before you arrive to ensure your comfort, but you can adjust it up or down to suite your own personal comfort level. Are there laundry facilities? Yes, there is a large washing machine, separate dryer, iron and ironing board. When do we need pool heat? It's a personal preference and purely optional, but is generally recommended between October and May. Some guests like a warm pool and have pool heat in the summer, others like their pool to be cool and refreshing. It really is down to your own personal preference. Kids generally don't care and will jump into any temperature! Is there a BBQ? Yes, we have a large gas BBQ in the lanai by the pool and there is a dining table too. What entertainment is there? We have the games room with a slate bed pool table, 54" foosball, top of the range air hockey, PS2 Playstation 2 with a good selection of games, plenty of board games such as Blockbusters, Dingbats, Buckaroo and Junior Scrabble, US & UK Trivial Pursuit and Who Wants to be a Millionaire. There's a great selection of Dvd's for all ages including films, sitcoms and series and our book library has a variety of authors ranging from Stephen King and John Grisham to Danielle Steel and Jackie Collins. If you get bored with all that, there's always Disney! Will we need a car? A car is recommended and will give you much more freedom, but you can get around without one via shuttle services, taxi and local public transport. |
