Car Hire in Orlando... |
|
There are plenty of car rental firms out there and, as we usually rent a car for around 4 months each year in Florida, we have a little more experience than most. We have shopped around extensively and can recommend 2 great companies - extremely competitive rates and we have used them both. CarHire3000 usually comes in with the best price but compare the two and compare them with others on the internet.
If you get a good price with CarHire3000 then book it there and then - there are no cancellation fees if you change your mind and, if you find a better deal, CarHire3000 guarantee to match it.
For our UK guests it is much better for you to pre-book a car - it works out so much cheaper than booking it in Orlando. Everything from the size of car to all the insurance you need is pre-arranged and pre-paid and you simply produce the voucher at the airport and drive away.
It is generally just as cheap to purchase the 'Upgraded' or 'Premium' package as this includes a full tank of petrol and at least 2 drivers. If you book the lower package the car rental agencies charge you for a tank of petrol at much higher rates.
Occasionally, when you arrive at the airport, the car hire staff will try and sell you more insurance, (some will even try to convince you that you don't have the legal requirements) but everything you need is included in the price from the two companies below so decline all offers of additional insurance.
Public transport in Orlando is pretty limited and a car works out much cheaper than taxi's. Driving is extremely easy, the roads are very safe and the drive from the airport is simple. No worries at all and we would recommend a car evertime.
